Solar street lights use sunlight as energy, charging during the day and operating at night. They do not require complex and expensive wiring, allowing for flexible arrangement of the lights.
Solar street lights use sunlight as energy, charging during the day and used at night, without the need for complex and expensive pipeline installation. The layout of the lights can be adjusted freely, ensuring safety, energy saving, and no pollution. They operate stably and reliably without manual operation, saving electricity costs and requiring no maintenance.
The system consists of several parts: solar panel components (including brackets), LED lamp heads, control box (containing controller and battery), and lamp poles. The solar panels have a light efficiency of 127Wp/m2, which is relatively high and beneficial for the system's wind resistance design. The lamp head part integrates 1W white LED and 1W yellow LED arranged in a certain spacing on a printed circuit board as a planar light source.
The control box contains maintenance-free lead-acid batteries and charge-discharge controllers. This system uses valve-regulated sealed lead-acid batteries, which require very little maintenance, hence they are also called "maintenance-free batteries," helping to reduce system maintenance costs. The charge-discharge controller is designed to balance comprehensive functionality (including light control, time control, overcharge protection, over-discharge protection, and reverse connection protection) with cost control, achieving a high cost-performance ratio.
The system operates on a simple principle, utilizing the photovoltaic effect. During the day, the solar panels receive solar radiation and convert it into electrical energy output, which is stored in the battery through the charge-discharge controller. At night, when the illumination gradually decreases and the open-circuit voltage of the solar panel is around 4.5V, the charge-discharge controller detects this voltage value and activates, allowing the battery to discharge to the lamp head. After 8.5 hours of discharge, the charge-discharge controller activates to end the battery discharge. The main function of the charge-discharge controller is to protect the battery.
