On March 13, the State Council issued the "Action Plan for Promoting Large-Scale Equipment Renewal and Trade-in of Consumer Goods," which covers six aspects and 20 key tasks, opening up massive demand.

The plan clearly states that "by 2027, the scale of equipment investment in industries such as manufacturing, agriculture, construction, transportation, education, cultural tourism, and healthcare will increase by more than 25% compared to 2023"; "the recycling volume of old household appliances will increase by 30% compared to 2023, and the proportion of recycled materials in resource supply will be further enhanced."

From the full text of the plan, it can be seen that in implementing the trade-in action for consumer goods, whether it is the fifth item "conducting trade-ins for automobiles," the sixth item "conducting trade-ins for household appliances" which "encourages localities with conditions to subsidize consumers for purchasing green smart home appliances," or the seventh item "promoting the renewal of home decoration products" which "supports residents in renovating old houses, partial renovations of kitchens and bathrooms, continuously promoting home modifications for the elderly, and actively cultivating new types of consumption such as smart homes," all will greatly boost the consumption demand for lighting products.

For lighting companies, it is certainly important to pay attention to and understand the spirit of relevant guiding opinions/plans and catalog documents, but more importantly, it is to be well-prepared to participate in this round of large-scale renewal.
